How to use a P-51 Can Opener

Unfold the blade: Rotate the cutting blade away from the body of the can opener until it clicks into place.

Position the can opener: Place the hooked end of the can opener on the lip of the can. The sharp cutting blade should rest on the inner edge of the lid.

Pierce the lid: Push the blade into the lid of the can using downward pressure until it punctures through.

Move the opener forward: Once the blade has pierced the lid, rock the handle back and forth while rotating the can or the opener around the edge of the can. Each motion creates a small cut.

Work around the can: Continue moving the P-51 along the edge, cutting small sections until the lid is fully opened or at least loose enough to remove.

Fold and store: After use, fold the blade back into the body of the P-51 for easy storage.
